Steve Cohen
Steve Cohen is the CEO of iCollegeCounselor and publisher of the College Admission Report. He also contributes a regular column to Forbes on college admissions. He is successful entrepreneur, having launched and been the CEO of the Child Health Guide, Living Independently, and BrainQuest.com. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Steve was a publisher for Time Inc. and Scholastic. He created, launched and ran Scholastic Parent & Child; the Parent Bookshelf; Covermaker; the Time College edition; and Time Television. Steve is the author of numerous award-winning articles and six books, including three best-sellers. His first book, Getting In! (written with Paulo de Oliveira,) was the largest-selling book ever written about college admissions, and led to Getting to the Right Job, College Bound, and CollegeTrack. Steve co-chaired the White House task force Prescription for Reading Partnership, is a Director Emeritus of the United States Naval Institute, and a Director of Reach Out and Read. He has been an adjunct faculty member for the past 25 years at NYU, Fordham, and the Stanford Professional Publishing Course. Steve attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis; is a graduate of Brown University; did graduate work in public policy at the University of California at Berkeley, and is currently a candidate for a Juris Doctor at New York Law School.

Mike MuskaMichael Muska is completing his seventh year at Dean of College Relations at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, New York. He is nationally recognized in the field of college counseling and college admissions, withearlier counseling stints at Phillips Andover Academy and Milton Academy in the Boston area, and serving as Associate Director of Admission at Brown University and Oberlin College. Mike is a regular contributor to both the NACAC and College Board Meetings, and is often quoted for his work on LGBT Issues and college athletics and recruiting. Mike also served as Athletic Director while at Oberlin, and was the first openly gay male to serve in such a capacity. In his earlier career as a highly successful coach of track and cross country, Mike coached 20 Division I All-Americans during his time at Auburn University and Northwestern University, and was twice named the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year. Mike is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and earned his MS from the University of Massachusetts.

Paulo DeOliveriaPaulo de Oliveira served for almost four years as an admission officer and Assistant Director of Admission at Brown University and was the co-author, with Steve Cohen, of the trade paperback bestseller Getting In (Workman, 1983) and Getting to the Right Job (Workman, 1987.) Paulo is a co-founder and President of Yormo.com, a website and mobile company for unsigned and emerging music artists and fans. Paulo is also a television producer. He was the on-set producer for the first season of the SciFi Channel series Eureka and the pilot of the USA Network series Psych, both of which he developed while an executive at NBC-Universal TV Studio. As Sr. V.P. of Cable Programming at NBC-Universal and Universal Television, where he worked for over a decade, Paulo was instrumental in the creation and supervision of Emmy-nominated, critically-acclaimed shows such as Monk, Psych, Battlestar Galactica and Eureka. Before becoming a series executive he was V.P. in charge of television movies and mini-series at Universal TV, and was earlier a programming executive at The Disney Channel and HBO. Paulo is a graduate of Brown University.

Anne DwaneAnne Dwane is the CEO of Zinch.com, the largest social network connecting applicants with colleges, where she passionately applies technology to improve access to education and career opportunities.In 1999, Anne co-founded Military.com to connect service members and veterans to their benefits, including GI Bill, tuition assistance and career networking. At Monster, Anne led several businesses as General Manager, Affinity Networks. Previously, Anne was in business development at Paul Allen’s Interval Research Corporation in Silicon Valley. Prior, Anne managed consumer research projects at Nabisco then transitioned to brand management.Anne holds a bachelors degree in Marketing and International Management from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is a member of the 2010 class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
